Damage Control

In its GLM (General Load Monitor) application, GHS has the capacity to go beyond the typical trim and stability calculator as it enables the user to simulate grounding, damage and flooding. The same capabilities are, of course, available in the standard GHS package for naval architects and salvage engineers.
For example, with the ability to simulate flooding, a vessel operator can examine the stability in the damaged condition. They can then explore the effects of moving fuel and/or ballast to improve the list, trim and stability in the damaged condition.
