I have a geometry file (GF) that opens fine in Section Editor and Part Maker but gives the following error when I READ it into GHS. Error: Section spacing too great at loc on ShapeName (PartName\CompName).

First, what is the miminum required station spacing? In the Getting Started section of the GHS Reference Manual (HELP START), it says, "The section spacing is required to be no greater than 1/20th of the overall vessel length."

One quick solution to this problem is to enter the FILL command; for example, FILL FileName.GF This causes sections to be added in order to satisfy this requirement.

If you want to visually inspect the model, open it in Section Editor. Use the name command to select the shape that is referenced and then press the F7 key until you hit the station location that is li sted in the error. The gap that is too large will be between the list station and one just forward of it.
